Replacement twist grip variable speed throttle with 5 wires for the Razor MX500 (Version 10-20) and MX650 (version 8-13) has been discontinued. Razor has made a conversion kit that comes with a 6 wire throttle and compatible control module that will replace the 5 wire throttle. The module and throttle that come in this e-kit must be installed at the same time in order for the upgrade to work.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: Razor Bike versions can be determined by locating your bar code ID on the battery cover and/or on the bottom of the bike frame. The 7th and 8th digit in the series will tell you the version of your product: 01=version 1; 02=version 2; 09=version 9, and so on. Please be sure you identify your version before placing an order for a throttle.
NOTE: This electrical conversion kit (that converts units that originally came with a 5 wire throttle to the new 6 wire throttle) is compatible as throttle/module replacement for all versions of the MX500 and MX650.
